Mr. George Edward Glenn

Sunrise… George Edward Glenn was born August 5, 1948. He was a native of Union, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Fannie Lee Rice Glenn. A Life Well Spent… George was an active member of the St. Luke Baptist Church where he loved to bring candy to the kids during Sunday School. He was educated in the Union County school. system. At a young age George attended Job Corps where he gained skills in construction. After Job Corps his first job was with Sloan Construction from which he later retired. In his retirement years, he enjoyed providing rides to local community members and friends. He shared his love to his nieces and nephews, especially the greats, with special nicknames, candy and gifts at random times. Sunset… God lifted his burdens and called him home and gave him peace on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. George was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Glenn; four sisters, Mae Frances Glenn, Brenda Jean Glenn Walton, Margaret Glenn Eison. and Elizabeth Glenn McGowan. Those Who Remain… He leaves a loving and devoted family to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at St. Luke Baptist Church, Buffalo in the Lukesville community at 11:00 A.M. In the event of inclement weather, services will be held inside the church. All participants are asked to please adhere to COVID guidelines and wear masks. Professional arrangements are entrusted to Divine Mortuary, Union, SC.
