Our History
Mr. Joseph E. Harper is our founder and owner. Mr. Harper began working in funeral service as an ambulance driver in 1962 for the Carolina Mortuary in Union, SC. Mr. Harper is retired from the Union County School District in South Carolina. He was inspired to open his own funeral home because he had a desire to serve the people in Union County and the surrounding areas. He purchased the property on Lovers Lane Road and opened the doors of Divine Mortuary in March of 2011.
